BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By registering for an event online you are confirming your acceptance of all terms and conditions and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.
1. Payment
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST). Online credit card payment is our preferred method and transactions will be processed through a secure online payment collection service. Should you wish to make a booking online but do not wish to make payment by credit card, the direct deposit (EFT) option should be selected. Payment is due strictly in accordance with our standard invoice terms (30 days from date of invoice) or must be made prior to the date of the event you have registered to attend.
Credit card payments can be made by Mastercard, Visa and American Express. All credit card payments will incur a 1.9% surcharge.
2. Cancellation/Refund Policy
Delegates who find themselves unable to participate in the National Sports & Physical Activity Convention 2021 (NSC21) after submitting a registration form are most welcome to nominate a substitute at no charge before Tuesday 12th October 2021.
A full refund less a $50 (ex. GST) processing fee is applicable on cancellation requests made in writing before Friday 1st October 2021. No refunds are available for cancellations made after Friday 1st October 2021.
Refunds will be processed using the same method originally used to pay for your purchase, but Smart Connection Consultancy reserves the right to refund using an alternative method.
In the event that the NSC Oration, Awards and Industry Networking is impacted by Covid-19 and cannot take place on the above scheduled date in-person, it will be presented online virtually.
If your individual ability to attend the NSC Oration, Awards and Industry Networking is impacted by government restrictions relating to Covid-19, you will be given access to view online recordings of this session.3. Event content
Smart Connection Consultancy reserves the right to make changes to the published program of an event including timings and/or speakers if one or more of the advertised speakers is unable to attend.
4. Event Venue
Events are held at various venues and locations throughout Australia and New Zealand. We may be required to change the published venue for an event for reasons beyond our control and in such case, you may not be entitled to receive a refund.
You are liable for any loss or damage caused to our premises or that of the external venue and agree to adhere to all housekeeping rules, procedures and policies (including policies relating to behaviour and conduct) that may be in place at any venue.
If you have a disability or medical condition that requires access or other provisions at a venue, please notify us of your requirements when completing your registration.
The NSC Oration is planned to be held live in-person on the 9th of December and Victorian Covid-19 capacity restrictions will apply. Based on the venue capacity limit on the above date, in-person tickets will be allocated in order of registrations purchased.
5. Rights in materials
All copyright and other rights (including all intellectual property rights) of materials provided for the purposes of NSC (including, without limitation, course notes, slides, brochures, magazines, articles or case studies) are our property or that of our licensors.
6. Publicity
Photographs taken at events may be used in publicity and marketing materials, including but not limited to the use on the NSC website, social media and other relevant event websites. Your attendance at an event may mean that you are featured in such photographs. If you do not wish to be included in any photograph, please notify the photographer at the event.
By registering to attend the event, the registrant consents to receive future communications from the NSC including, but not limited to, e-newsletters from relevant publications and promotional material for future events (you can unsubscribe at any time).
It is a condition of participation that the registrant’s contact details may be forwarded to approved sponsors and partners of that event for marketing purposes. If an individual requests to not provide information to third parties, we are prohibited from supplying that information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Select events enable exhibitors and sponsors to collect attendee information on site via scanning of individual visitor badges. This is done with delegate consent at the time, and information is collected for lead capture and direct marketing purposes. An exhibitor or sponsor cannot force a delegate to have their badge scanned and an objection should be made at the time if required.
The NSC is actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation in line with local and national authorities, public health advice and World Health Organisation guidelines. The safety and wellbeing of our event participants is of paramount importance and remains our top priority. NSC21 will be held in a COVIDSafe Setting adhering to the State of Victoria's guidelines at the time of the event.
The NSC21 Oration has closely followed Victorian Government recommendations to develop COVIDSafe Guidelines for the event. These guidelines will be in place at the event and have been developed to ensure attendee health and safety. We will be continuously monitoring the Victorian Government recommendations and keep attendees appraised of any changes necessary to keep the event COVIDSafe.
All NSC Oration attendees are required to register pre-event online (inclusive of: full name, mobile phone number and email) and to check-in at the venue on arrival.
The venue will require all guests to check-in using the Victorian Government QR code and to confirm vaccination status (double vaccinated) via your COVID-19 digital certificate upon check-in. If you hold a vaccine medical exemption please contact the organiser pre-event.
Please note any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19, please ensure to follow the guidelines in the venue's COVIDSafe Plan, as well as all Victorian laws and restrictions at the time of the event.
If any attendee feels unwell or are showing symptoms, you are required to stay home and not attend the event. If a COVID-19 test is required, please advise the hotel of all relevant information and inform the Organiser as soon as possible for any attendee ticket replacement.
