It is a great pleasure to invite you to attend the
2024 IGNSS Conference
taking place at UNSW Sydney
Wednesday 7th - Friday 9th February 2024.
2023 saw the 50th Anniversary of the approval of the Global Positioning System (GPS) program by the U.S. Department of Defense. In the 50 years since Brad Parkinson and his team designed and built that revolutionary system, GPS has been joined by 3 other Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and 2 Regional Systems. Modern society is now heavily reliant on the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services that GNSS and other cutting-edge technologies provide.
GNSS2024 will open the next 50-year chapter of PNT, by bringing together experts, policy makers and emerging leaders in GNSS technology, products, and services to examine the latest advances, present cutting edge research and discuss policy, market development and infrastructure.
IGNSS2024 will also showcase the Southern Positioning Augmentation Network (SouthPAN) and other important developments by Governments in the region. There will of course also be updates from the major GNSS System Providers.
50 years since GPS kicked off the PNT revolution, we are realising that our reliance on this important technology has also made us vulnerable to the risks, including the increasing threats in jamming, spoofing and cybersecurity. So IGNSS2024 will enable like-minded professionals to gather in technical sessions and on the much-loved IGNSS Sydney Harbour Cruise, to discuss the many interesting and challenging issues affecting the future of PNT.
Sessions covered at IGNSS2024 will include: |
