Inviting Assistive Technology Clinicians, Carers, Local Government service providers and Pool managers
A special seminar on what needs to be done to provide aquatic access for all abilities.
Program Summary:
9.00am - Registration and Welcome
9.15am - Aquatic Therapy – the benefits of aquatic therapy and why they should be available to everyone
9.35am - Pool Safety – pre planning and safety on entry, during and exiting the pool
10.00am - Reducing Barriers – a panel will discuss facility design and what it takes to create the right environment
10.40am - Where to go and What’s Available – the resources and associations who can make it happen
11.10am - Building Clinicians Confidence – practical assessment and gaining confidence
11.40am - Q&A
12.00pm - Lunch, followed by site tour of Aquatic Facility at Sydney Olympic Park.
