Biography

Mitch has almost 2 decades of experience in various High Performance and Participation sport system roles and projects, on and off the field of play, nationally and internationally. As well as professional services experience in the corporate sector. Within sport, Gourley has worked across many different contexts in various Summer, Winter, Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games only sports, ranging from Workforce Development Strategy to Community Engagement, athlete Performance Support to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; as well as contributing to the development and delivery of both the national High Performance (WinWell) and national Participation (PlayWell) strategies. Gourley currently works as the General Manager for Sport4All at Get Skilled Access. Partnering with sport, government and community to build the curiosity, skills and confidence of local community clubs and schools to include people with disability in all aspects of sport, when, where, and how they choose.

Biography

Over 25 years’ experience in sports administration working across grass roots clubs through to professional sporting teams and now in State/ Territory Government. Through this time, Mitch has worked with Directors, Chief Executive Officers, sub committees and boards. His involvement has covered volunteer run community organisations and government institutions whilst at the same time dealing with national and state sporting bodies.

Biography

Cathy is a Recreation Planner with extensive experience in planning and management of sport and recreation environments. Currently the Community Recreation and Aquatics Planning Manager at the City of Melbourne, she has worked in the Local Government recreation, community sport and parks sector for over 30 years. She is interested in the role Local Government can play to support people of all ages to participate in healthy and active lifestyles. In 2021, Cathy was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to the parks and recreation industry, and children’s well-being.

Biography

A proven people and organisational leader, Jennah’s credentials, connections and expertise have seen her sit on both sides of the board table, and successfully navigate complexity and challenges. Jennah has held several leading executive positions, including General Manager Partnerships & Communication with Sport New Zealand and Chief Executive of the World Masters Games 2017. She was also an Independent Director of Cricket 2021 Limited (2021 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup) and a Director of Regional Facilities Auckland. Currently Jennah is Chief Executive of the charitable trust Aktive whose vision is to make Auckland the most active city in the world as well as Deputy Chair of Tataki Auckland Unlimited and a Director of Perpetual Guardian Holdings.
