Biography

Dr. Erin Lalor AM was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Alcohol and Drug Foundation in 2017.  She is a recognised leader in the health policy and not-for-profit sectors with over 20 years of experience as a clinician, researcher, advocate and leader. She is currently Deputy Chair of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and a member of the Australian National Advisory Council on Alcohol and Drugs.  Previously she was CEO of the National Stroke Foundation and a Director of the World Stroke Organisation and VincentCare.

Biography

With over 30 years of transformative impact in community and economic development, Lori Modde has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to enhancing regional vitality and the leisure industry. Her journey began in hotels and then progressed to Tourism NSW, where she excelled as a Regional Marketing Manager, laying the groundwork for her profound understanding of the tourism sector. Lori further honed her expertise as the Community and Economic Development Manager at a Local Government Authority and later as the Senior Manager of Place Activation and Strategy at Sydney Olympic Park Authority. In 2005, Lori founded Lorick Management, which under her visionary leadership, has steered numerous tourism and development initiatives. She has played pivotal roles including the Event Manager of the NSW Tourism Awards, Marketing Manager for New England North West Tourism, and CEO for various regional tourism organisations such as Outback NSW Tourism and South Coast Tourism. Currently, Lori is spearheading major projects like Sturt’s Steps in Outback NSW, while also leading Outdoors NSW and ACT as CEO, and driving growth as the General Manager of Visitor Economy Development. A committed advocate for her industry, Lori enriches her community through various volunteer roles and is a passionate mentor to the next generation of leaders in her field. Her commitment is further evidenced by her active participation in numerous prestigious organisations including Western Sydney Moving, the Australian Regional Tourism, NSW tourism Association, Youth Ocean Carnival and Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation. Lori's exceptional leadership and innovative strategies have not gone unnoticed; her accolades include being a finalist for the Western Sydney Business Leader of the Year and receiving the Association Influencer of 2020 by AuSAE as well as receiving the NSW Outstanding Contribution by an Individual to Tourism Award in 2023. Lori’s enduring commitment and strategic acumen continue to make a significant impact on the tourism and outdoor industry landscape, proving her to be an invaluable asset to the industry and her community.
