The Australian Government has committed to meet an emissions reduction target of 43% by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050. In addition, gas prices have increased 500% in the last decade. In order for the industry to be sustainable and meet its social value proposition, significant energy efficiencies must be realised by 2030. This session will report and provide key information, research and case studies which unpack themes of the sustainability of the aquatic industry and ongoing community access to public aquatic infrastructure.
