Biography

Over 12 years of sport executive leadership experience in softball, golf, football and cricket, driving creative and innovative solutions to increase commercial and participation growth, financial performance, strong high-performance outcomes and positive cultural change. David is an entrepreneur who develops and implements innovative strategies, drawing on expertise in marketing, communications and business development solutions to result in revenue growth of up to 50% annually. A communicative leader who inspires by acting with integrity, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and delivering – or over-delivering - on commitments. I build trust to harness teamwork and create a values-based culture that has the best interests of the sport and its people at its core. David is a respected and invested leader in Australian sport with an extensive network of professional relationships to draw on for the good of Australian Hockey, including with the AIS, Sport Australia, AOC and State government bodies. Possessing commercial expert with extensive experience in attracting, negotiating and executing major deals worth up to $10.5M with global brands. David is a proven leader in facilitating a “one sport” mindset, enhanced governance structure and processes in consultation with State and Territory stakeholders and peak Australian sport partners.

A board perspective

Biography

Tony is now the longest serving board member on NSO Gymnastics Australia and chair of the Finance and Risk Committee. He is chair of EngageRM Technologies Pty Ltd which is currently expanding globally. It’s a SaaS based business (CRM sitting on Microsoft Dynamic’s 365) that focuses on fan engagement, sponsorship management etc. Clients now include Stadiums Queensland (Gabba and Suncorp Metway), the MCC, 6 AFL clubs (including Collingwood and WestCoast), NRL clubs, and 20% of the NBA (Lakers, Clippers, Bucks, Pelicans, Miami Heat), NFL teams the New Orleans Saints and MLS Portland Timbers, Country Racing Victoria (60 odd tracks). They will have another racing code, MLB and EPL to announce shortly. He is a mad Collingwood supporter, loves watching boxing, play social basketball over 35’s on a Tuesday and weekends are full following the kid’s sport. LinkedIn
