Meaningfully engaging fans, attendees, alumni and members to benefit your cause is a great opportunity for all Australian sports. The aim of this workshop is to learn about how you can implement annual and regular giving campaigns and establish donor groups within your sport. The workshop hopes to leave you with an ability to implement these giving mechanisms into your current activities to help kick-start a culture of philanthropy for your organisational and raise additional funds for your sport. 15-minute presentations with remaining time for Q+A.

Vicki Gillespie is a seasoned business professional with a passion for driving organizational growth and transformation. With over 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles, Vicki has established herself as a trusted advisor and strategic thinker. Her expertise lies in corporate governance, business development, and change management. Vicki is also the Chair of the Confident Girls Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering young girls and women through sport and education. As a graduate of the AICD, Vicki remains committed to fostering good governance practices while making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Innovative programs to drive donations at Matilda and Socceroo games for the Pararoos

Biography

As General Manager of Fundraising at Football Australia, Katrina’s role is to develop and deliver powerful, sustainable fundraising campaigns, strategies, and events to support Australia’s favourite national teams: the CommBank Pararoos and CommBank ParaMatildas. These teams represent male and female footballers with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury or symptoms from stroke. Prior to joining Football Australia, Katrina served as Campaign Manager and Advisor to former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd from 2006 – 2013. These roles provided extensive experience across the political landscape, including the enormously successful ‘Kevin07’ campaign. Katrina is passionate about harnessing her expertise and the power of the world game to drive social change and shape a more inclusive and connected community.
