Richard Joseph is the Active & Healthy Ageing Coordinator at the Maroondah City Council. He leads the development and implementation of Council’s Positive Ageing Framework and is passionate about promoting age friendly communities. Richard has graduate qualifications in Public Policy and Management, Disability Studies and in Community Engagement. He completed the World Health Organization inaugural Global Online Leaders Training on Healthy Ageing for Impact in the 21st Century. He has worked in various capacities in the areas of ageing and disability for over thirty years, in Singapore and Australia. Richard is a qualified soccer coach and volunteers at a local soccer club. His current interest is garlic farming.

Brooke, Manager for Sport, Recreation & Health at Leisure Networks, has a passion for leading teams and working with local community to develop strong, well-managed healthy sporting environments for everyone to enjoy.
With over 20 years’ professional experience in sport and recreation, Brooke also maintains a strong connection to local sport through participation and volunteering at multiple clubs.
Her professional development includes graduating VicSports LEAP Female Leadership development program and AICD Foundations of Directorship Course. She is a current Director at Regional Sport Victoria, sits on the Kardinia Park Advisory Committee and the G21 Health and Wellbeing Working Group

Prof Pazit Levinger is a principal researcher (allied health researcher) at the National Ageing Research Institute. Prof Levinger’s work is focused on translational and implementation research in the community working closely with Local Governments and senior organisations and groups to improve community health and well-being. Lead several projects that focus on the built environment, age friendly communities and active outdoor space for older people in the community and aged care setting with expertise in the area of active ageing, outdoor exercise equipment for older people, physical activity and falls prevention for older people. She works closely with government bodies in strategic development and planning around the built environment and public health impact.
